The third meeting of the Council Working Party on Statistics under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union was held in Brussels on Tuesday, 29 April.

The Presidency presented the latest developments in the negotiations on the proposal for a regulation on European Statistics on Population and Housing(ESOP) and invited Member States to comment.Delegations shared views on key aspects, contributing to a constructive exchange.

Under the second agenda item, the Council Working Party began an article - by - article discussion of the proposal for a regulation on non - financial statistics concerning commercial real estate(CREI).Member States provided comments on definitions, data sources, and the need for flexibility and simplification.The discussion will continue at the next meetings.

The third agenda item concerned a delegated act under the Regulation introducing new environmental economic accounts modules(EEA).The Commission presented the proposal, and the Presidency launched written consultations on objections and a possible extension of the objection period.
