On Tuesday, 17 December 2024, the official handover of the Presidency of the Council Working Party on Statistics from Hungary to Poland took place in Budapest. The meeting was attended by the representatives from the National Statistical Institutes of the outgoing trio (Spain, Belgium, and Hungary), the incoming trio (Poland, Denmark, and Cyprus) and the European Commission (Eurostat).

During the event, the representatives of the previous Presidencies provided a summary of their experiences and the lessons learned over the course of their terms. The incoming trio outlined their priorities and objectives for the upcoming Presidency period. Additionally, the Hungarian and Polish Presidencies discussed the progress of statistical dossiers.
