Hotel Bristol is a historic five-star luxury hotel built in the Neo-Renaissance style and opened in 1901 in Warsaw, Poland. It is located in the city centre on Krakowskie Przedmieście next to the Presidential Palace and just a short stroll from the Old Town, Royal Castle, National Theater, and Opera House.
The hotel is one of the most notable historic monuments of the Royal Route (Polish: Trakt Królewski) and remains among the few landmarks of Warsaw which emerged relatively unscathed from the city's near total destruction during World War II. It is considered as one of Warsaw's oldest and one of the country's most luxurious hotels.
Accommodation
10-11 April will be a busy time in Warsaw, as several major events are happening simultaneously. We highly recommend securing your accommodation as soon as possible, especially in hotels near the Old Town.

Social programme
On 10 April after the end of the meeting, a guided tour of Warsaw is planned, including a visit to one of the city’s museums. The tour will conclude with dinner in the old Town, followed by an intimate Chopin concert.
Accreditation system
Please be informed that each attendee will need to register using a specially designed form. This is due to the fact that our meeting has been included on the list of central events for the Polish Presidency, and it will be required to use the central accreditation system.
The registration system will open five weeks before the meeting and will close two weeks prior to the event. Only registered participants will be allowed to attend the meeting.
A link to the registration form will be sent in a separate email as soon as the system is launched.

Currency exchanges are called ‘Kantor’ in Poland and there are plenty of them in city centre, larger hotels, train stations and shopping malls. Kantors tend to offer marginally better rates than banks.

Credit card payments are widely available in Warsaw. Contactless payments (NFC card or mobile) are very popular and available in majority of places.
ATMs – there are many ATMs in Warsaw, including numerous at the Warsaw Chopin airport.
Electricity: For Poland there are two associated plug types, types C and E. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type E is the plug which has two round pins and a hole for the socket's male earthing pin. Poland operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Public transportation
Warsaw municipal transport is very convenient, safe and well organised. It consists of trams, city buses, suburban buses and the underground (metro): Please find detailed guide: Public transport step by step; Public Transport Authority.
Transport tickets are required on all lines (3-day ticket - 72h). In Warsaw two main tickets types are:
- 75 minutes ticket which costs 4,40 PLN (approx. 1 EUR). After validating the ticket you can switch bus lines and also metro, as many times as you like, within its duration.
- 20 minutes ticket which costs 3,20 PLN (approx. 0,75 EUR). After validating the ticket you can switch bus lines and also metro, as many times as you like, within its duration.

Transport from the airport
The Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport is about 8 km from the city centre. The best transport to the city centre is taxi (cost - approx. €10 - 15) or Uber (should be cheaper but it depends on weather conditions, time of day etc.)

You can reach the city centre by bus No175 running to the centre (DW.CENTRALNY 01 bus stop) and further to the Old Town (Stare Miasto).
